Crown Freight Manager
Quarter 4 Release Version 5.5
Release Notes
012/26/2006

Following is a list of features added to current version Crown Freight Manager 5 in the update to Quarter 4 Version 5.5. Included with the list of new features is a brief description of each.
  1. You can now attach a special table to an FAK table. This works better over the current setup because you do not need to make a special table for each FAK if a special table is needed. To use a special table with an FAK table select the special table from the options in the FAK table and select the linked special table from the list.
  2. We have now also added the ability to link a zone table to an FAK table. This will allow for the rating system to automatically switch to the proper zone table when rating. If you do not have the zone table linked to the FAK table then you have to setup the default zone table by customer rather than by whatever shipment is using that rate table.
  3. We have extended Charge Groups to FAK, mileage and per piece rate tables. To add a customer to a rate table select the customer from the customer maintenance list. Click on the options tab for that customer. Check the box under the Charge Group for (Show Only Rates/Tariffs Assigned to Group) if you want to see only this customers rate tables. In the FAK table select Charge Group and then select the Charge Group you have made for that Customer from the list.
  4. We have added the ability to calculate a flat rate depending on the weight bucket. You can use a flat rate for per pound and per pound per quantity surcharge types.
  5. Added the Terminal ID to all charges for reporting revenue by Terminal. The Terminal ID will be seen on the charges tab in the column for "Term" on all charges.
  6. Added the ability to print batch invoices for all terminals if you are a multi terminal operation.
  7. We have added a new security right to the security group's setup screen. Ability to hold shipments from billing for authorizations on accessorial charges.
  8. We have added a way to change the dispatch terminal for pickup or delivery, pickup and delivery and door to door moves. You can also change the terminal id for other charges and no calc of charges.

Following is a list of reports that have been added or expanded in the current version of Crown Freight Manager 5 in the update to Quarter 4 Version 5.5.

  2. Added a report that lists the rate table associated with a given customer. The report is listed in the Maintenance Reports Gallery and is called Customer Rates Report. The report can be run for active or inactive customers or all.
